Finding Phone Numbers Online

There it sits in the hall closet looking forlorn and dusty. You feel guilty for only a few seconds before taking it out. It is so excited to be opened up and leafed through. Little does it know that it’s going to be wedged under a wobbly table leg.
The phone book. Poor cumbersome phone book.
It’s sad but true, phone books are becoming obsolete (except for when the table starts acting up again). Remember when phone booths had a gargantuan phone book hanging from a chain, so you couldn’t steal it? Well, they’re all gone now because you can call 411 for any number, in any state, in any city. You can also find all the information online. The actual hardcopy of the white pages online is much easier to use than the actual book. Another good site is Anywho , which is a very easy to navigate online directory. They all basically work in the same way. You have the option of searching either people or businesses. The site gives you an area to enter the name and/or location of the person or business.
If perchance you have a number and not the name of a person or a business, then you can easily perform a reverse phone search. You should checkout Private Eye because all you have to do is enter the number and it will run a search in seconds. It’s not that hard to find someone these days with so many resources. But, if one rainy afternoon you’re feeling overwhelming nostalgic, then feel free to give your old phone book a little love.
